Dr Lynne McKinlay achieves RACMA Fellowship
Dr Lynne McKinlay, Cognitive Institute’s Senior Medical Educator recently completed the training and examinations required to achieve RACMA Fellowship (FRACMA).
The skills and knowledge gained will enhance Dr McKinlay’s influence as a health leader and in her role with Cognitive Institute.
Dr Stephen Walker re-joins Mater Misericordiae
Dr Stephen Walker will add to his education role as Cognitive Institute’s Associate Medical Director by taking up the part time position as Medical Leadership Development Partner with the Mater Health Services in November.
Cognitive Institute has had a 15 year partnership with the Mater so this is an excellent opportunity for Dr Walker as he continues to deliver our clinical leadership and Speaking Up programmes. This position adds greater depth and insight to his work with us and we congratulate him on his appointment.
Before joining Cognitive Institute, Dr Walker worked as Director of Clinical Training and Deputy Director of Medical Management for over 15 years at the Mater.
Kirsten Dyer achieves ACHSM Fellowship
Kirsten Dyer, Senior Clinical Educator for Cognitive Institute completed her examinations to become a Fellow of the Australasian College of Health Service Management (ACHSM) in September.
Fellowship is the highest membership category awarded by ACHSM, and recipients are recognised for their ongoing commitment to excellence in health service. This achievement reflects considerable dedication to professional development, and will compliment the skills and knowledge Ms Dyer brings to her position with Cognitive Institute.
Dr Mark O’Brien completes exclusive Oxford Leadership programme
Cognitive Institute’s Medical Director Dr Mark O’Brien has completed the intensive Oxford Advanced Leadership & Management Programme for experienced senior leaders.
